The Teacher Who Changed My Life Forever !

🤔 Some people walk into our lives just when we need them the most.
Not to merely teach us but to transform us.

For me, that person was Shri Kunnhikrishnan Master — a humble, noble, and truly selfless teacher. 🙏

The Beginning of a New Chapter

I was just three years old when my father passed away, leaving my family to navigate life’s challenges on our own. My mother, elder brother, and I moved to Muzhappilangad, a quaint village with one of the longest drive-in beaches in the world.

Life was far from easy. We lost everything, including our home and belongings, in a series of unforeseen events. It was a tough road ahead. But kindness has a way of showing up in the darkest moments, and for me, that light came in the form of my teacher.

At the age of 10, I joined St. Joseph’s School, where I met Kunnhikrishnan Master, our math teacher. He didn’t just teach; he believed. In me. In my potential. In my ability to rise above the odds.

More Than a Teacher

Kunnhikrishnan Master saw something in me that I hadn’t yet seen in myself.

He didn’t just help me solve equations; he solved the riddle of self-doubt. He mentored me, guided me, and provided unwavering support during my formative years. What stood out was his extraordinary selflessness — going beyond his role as a teacher to help me not just academically but in life.

Under his guidance, I achieved something remarkable:
✅ Scoring a perfect 100 in mathematics in both 11th and 12th grades(pre degree in those days , even when I went out of St.Joseph’s he continued supporting me, in a selfless manner,with a lot of dedication of his time to help me study and do better)
✅ Securing admission to NIT Calicut in 1986

He showed me that greatness isn’t built on grand gestures. It’s in the quiet, consistent acts of support, belief, and kindness.

A Visit That Brought Back Memories

Recently, Kunnhikrishnan Master visited me at my home in Bangalore.

Sitting beside him, I couldn’t help but reflect on how much of my life’s journey traces back to the foundations he laid.

A Message for All of Us

⁉ Who are you inspiring today?
Each of us has the power to be a guiding light for someone else — to encourage, uplift, and quietly make a profound difference.

As I write this, I’m reminded not just of the inspiration that shaped me but also the challenges that came my way.

Life had its share of people who added to the pain, but their actions only strengthened my resolve.

Even negativity can be a teacher. It teaches us to grow stronger, to rise above, and to hold on to kindness.

To those who support, inspire, and care: thank you for making life’s challenges worth overcoming.
And to those who didn’t: thank you for making me resilient enough to succeed anyway.

Here’s to the mentors, the believers, and the unsung heroes in our lives. Let’s strive to be one for someone else.
