Do you still look up to an old boss?

I worked for a boss(Shri. PSN Sirji we used to call him in short, P.Sukumaran Nambiar) several years ago who was enthusiastic, energetic, and committed.

As a proactive person, he enjoyed overcoming challenges and, when necessary, recognizing his shortcomings.

As a team leader, he ensured that everyone worked together to achieve the team’s goals.

If necessary, he would do anything to ensure that the group worked well together and that unwelcome “dynamics” were avoided.

Now that I am an entrepreneur looking back on it, I can understand how challenging it was for him with so many uncertainties back then, and with employees from so many cultures.

From now on, I’ll refer to him as “Energizer”.

However, I also had the opportunity to work for a boss
who was the complete opposite, Someone who takes everyone for granted and believes in being a taskmaster. Nothing else mattered besides the result.

At his essence, he was a harsh enforcer who eschewed free discourse and enforced a rigid structure that required everyone to follow the rules. The majority of the problems were internal, and none of the team members trusted one another.

Leaders need to inspire others. They need to be energizers!
Keeping the squad united as much as possible and pushing forward with a goal in mind.

Most naturally gifted leaders succeed at making a positive difference. They do show care. It’s challenging to fake!
Energizers have a solid ability to bind people together. They are willing to modify if necessary. They exude a great deal of confidence.

Energizers immediately bring life to a room when they walk in. They are so enthusiastic that they attract others like magnets.

The best way to inspire others to work better?

Show by your actions that you are completely on their side.

What experience do you have?

Are you an energizer?

Share with us by leaving a comment or mentioning a colleague at work who inspires you!
